ORCHESTRA-BEGINNING ORCHESTRA (1611) (1612)                                                  
Grades 9-10-11-12   (two-semester course)
Prerequisites: Audition or teacher permission
No prior music experience is needed. Beginning orchestra students will be instructed in the music fundamentals of violin, viola, cell, or bass. Members must attend concert performances, contests, and extra rehearsals outside of the school day. Instruments may be provided through a rental program (for a nominal fee).


ORCHESTRA-INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA/PRELUDE (1621) (1622)                                                       
Grades 9-10-11-12   (two-semester course)
Prerequisites: Audition or teacher permission
Prelude Orchestra performs the music of moderate difficulty with emphasis on developing skills and preparing for membership in intermediate/advanced orchestras. Members must attend the concert and extra rehearsals outside of the school day. Instruments may be provided through a rental program (for a nominal fee.)


ORCHESTRA-INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA/INTERMEZZO (1631) (1632)                                                                
Grades 9-10-11-12   (two-semester course)
Prerequisites: Audition or teacher permission
Intermezzo Orchestra performs the music of moderate difficulty with emphasis on developing skills and preparing for membership in advanced orchestras. Members must attend the concert and extra rehearsals outside of the school day. Instruments may be provided through a rental program (for a nominal fee.)


ORCHESTRA-ADVANCED ORCHESTRA/PHILHARMONIC (1651) (1652)                                                  
Grades 9-10-11-12   (two-semester course)
Prerequisites: Audition or teacher permission
Philharmonic performs the music of moderate-advanced difficulty while developing skills and preparing for membership in Symphony Orchestra. Members must attend concert performances, contests, and extra rehearsals outside of the school day. Instruments may be provided through a rental program (for a nominal fee).


ORCHESTRA-ADVANCED ORCHESTRA/SYMPHONY (1641) (1642) 
Grades 9-10-11-12   (two-semester course)
Weighted

Prerequisites: Audition or teacher permission
Symphony Orchestra performs advanced difficulty. Woodwind, brass, & percussion section members are selected from Honors Band. Members must attend concert performances, contests, and extra rehearsals outside of the school day. Instruments may be provided through a rental program (for a nominal fee.)
