WARREN TOWNSHIP 2021 SUMMER JUNIOR GUARD
The Warren Township Summer Junior Guard is designed to give ALL Grades 6, 7, & 8 students and introduction and performance opportunity in the Warren Color Guard experience. The August program will give students the chance to learn about the color guard activity while gaining performance and leadership skills.

To Join the Warren Township Summer Junior Guard, here is what you need to do:
- Complete this online registration form
- Commit to THREE rehearsals & ONE performance (see schedule below)
- Pay a $40 membership & equipment fee (this cost covers a flag and uniform shirt that you will get to keep)
REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
- Rehearsal: Tuesday, August 10, 6:00 - 8:00pm (check-in begins at 5:30pm)
- Rehearsal: Tuesday, August 17, 6:00 - 8:00pm
- Rehearsal: Tuesday, August 24, 6:00 - 8:00pm
- Performance: Friday, August 27 at the WCHS Football Game (6:00 - 9:00pm)

WHAT IS THE WARREN CENTRAL COLOR GUARD? What am I getting myself into?!
Color Guard is a unique blend of athleticism and performance art.
The Warren Central "Fall" Color Guard is made up of Grade 7-12 students with 0-6 years of experience. We welcome students with no experience as well as those with many years of experience. Students in the summer & fall season color guard will be involved with the Gold Brigade marching band fall show. The members will be trained in basic flag, rifle, and dance technique, while also learning choreography for a 7-8 minute show.
High school students are enrolled in a curricular class that meets every day. This class will focus on the elements of dance, movement, choreography and us of equipment (flags, rifles, sabers). This group will have rehearsals outside of the school day Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students are required to attend co-curricular rehearsals and performances.
THE WARREN CENTRAL GOLD BRIGADE COLOR GUARD IS A 2-TIME SCHOLASTIC A CLASS STATE CHAMPION!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN WARREN'S FALL COLOR GUARD?
- All Warren Central HS students in Grades 9-12 for the 2021-2022 school year. No prior experience is required for boys & girls in Grades 9, 10, 11 or 12!
- Grade 8 students who were members of the 2021 JV or World Winter Guards are eligible with director permission.
